GIVING AND RECEIVING: Receive with Thanksgiving

Published by Olukemi Onigbanjo on

There is a boy here who has five barley loaves and two small fish, but what are these among so many? And Jesus said, Make the men recline. And there was much grass in the place. So the men reclined, about five thousand in number. And Jesus took the loaves, and when He had given thanks, He distributed to the disciples, and the disciples to those who had reclined; and likewise of the fish, as much as they wanted. – (Joh 6:9-11 MKJV)

The more open you are to receive, the more you can give. Be opened. Do not see receiving from other as ,being selfish, greedy or lazy on your part rather see it as a flow of increasing abundance. Receive the form and substance of what others give you with a heart of appreciation and words of thanksgiving. When you receive anything, thank God of all creation and abundance for it. Pray an abundance of what you have received returning to the giver. As you do this you will attract more abundance into your own life too.

If you receive a gift of $5, do not say “what can this do” or “this is not enough” or “I wish I have received more” This type of statement is a block to the flow of abundance into your life. Rather see it as the beginning or the increase of the flow of abundance into your life.
